This week we’re back to the guest mixes and back to the deepness goodness with The Fixionist. I was a fan of the man instantly upon hearing his initial couple of remixes for Break Wind Productions. His tunes have a unique quality, harnessing a solid groove and upbeats loops but firmly deep and melodic – hence they have had a far share of rinsing from me. Recently his first original tunes dropped and both have been on high rotation on the show and at Chez Llupa. This guest mix is one I have been looking forward to, make sure you don’t miss it.
The Fixionist
UK Producer and remixer The Fixionist records and remixes for the mighty Breakwind Productions (BWP). Starting out as one of the members of seminal breakbeat/rock hybrid band Axcess, over the past 15 years he has recorded, produced and remixed within many genres and under many pseudonyms.
His work with BWP started with a remix of Dr. Kananga, one of the tracks that he co-produced way back in the Axcess days. This first remix saw him gain much attention in the breaks community and with that came much support on NSB radio shows and various DJ’s including the track in mixsets for months after.
Work continued with The Fixionist remixing for acts such as Alterform and Ronin8. August saw the release of his first original EP. The tracks, One False Move and Pho Li Ho Mist gained massive attention, making sure The Fixionist is an act to keep a close eye on for the future.
Work continues, he has recently been working with a range of different vocalists ensuring the next EP is fresh and does not tread tired old paths.

Back to the deepness this week with a very cool guest mix from The Fixionist. Respect to the man for laying down such a solid set with a big chunk of his tunes and remixes in there.
