Here we go with the first of the Disc Breaks guest mix series for 2010 – Missmax will be here in Llupa studios to lay down a wicked mix live. I only recently met Missmax after she moved to Melbourne and after witnessing her play some great sets, had to ask her to come down with her crate full of solid rolling breakbeat and do a guest mix for you lot. This’ll be a really treat, so make sure you’re tuned in!
Missmax
Missmax is originally from Melbourne Australia but was based in London from 2004. After promoting for Chew the Fat and loving the breaks scene she started djing mid 2006. A few months in she was offered a residency at Supatronix one of London’s best loved breaks nights, and started hosting the System Supatronix weekly radio show on NSB Radio. Missmax also scored gigs at The End Club and played alongside some of the best in the business including Hybrid, NAPT, Atomic Hooligan, Slyde, The Goorvediggerz, The Freestylers, Chris Carter, Drum Monkeys, Precision Cuts, DJ Quest, CTRL-Z, Ed 209, Breakfastaz, Merka, Soto, Madox, Brothers Bud, Slyde, Kid Blue, Paul Arnold, Hook n Sling, Move Ya!, Plaza de Funk and Beat Assassins
After returning to Melbourne in July 2010, Missmax has put on a few Supatronix nights at Revolver nightclub, supported the Stanton Warriors at Brown Alley, scored gigs at weekly breaks night Bass Camp @ The Lounge and is spinning support for most breaks internationals in Melbourne.
