I’ve been a big fan of Mesmer’s work for a while now and it’s been great seeing his tunes reach a wider and wider audience, he definitely has his own style and one that seems to snag the minds of a lot of the breakbeat crew. When I then heard he was going to launch a label I got very excited, what angle would it take, who would be on it? Then I started getting the cheeky previews and damn it’s gonna be good, if not great. The breadth of artists and styles he has encompassed mimics his own style of pushing forward thinking music with a soul and a groove and is a testament to the respect Mesmer receives from the breakbeat community.

Scarcity was initiated by Romanian breakbeat producer Mesmer with the intention of taking a modern approach to the old-school sound, to modernize the classic breakbeat sound.
